How It Works
1
Fill out the enrollment form. You can fill out our enrollment form online or by coming into our main office to fill it out in person.

2
Check out the schedule. A copy of the schedule will be automatically sent to the email you used on the enrollment form. If you don't receive it or need a new one, just let us know.
3
Start attending classes. You're able to select any classes on the schedule. You can even go to multiple classes or move classes, if you need to. At your first class, your teacher will have you take an assessment test.
4
Begin studying the questions you missed on your assessment test. Once you feel confident, you'll take the subject test. You'll repeat this process until you pass all 4 subject tests and get your GED credential.

Common Questions About the GED
The cost changes by state. For Texas, it's $36.25 per subject. There are 4 subjects, for a total of $145.00.

If you fail a subject test and retake it, the cost of the retake is $16.25. But you need to be within the retest policy to get the cheaper price. Check GED.com for the most current retest policy.

GED also offers an online GED test that students can take at home. For students in Texas wishing to take the online test, it's $42.25 per subject, or $169.00 for all four subjects. Testers must also pass a GED Ready Practice Test beforehand, which are $7.00 per subject and $28 for all 4. This brings the total cost up to $197.00.

Enrollment in Literacy Lubbock's GED program includes free GED vouchers for the practice tests.
