We’re a Volunteer-Based Organization
That means, aside from our 2 full-time staff members, we’re completely run by volunteers! From Board Members to Tutors, and everything in between, volunteers are the beating heart of what we do. So please, consider volunteering with us!
Open Roles
GED Tutoring
Help tutor adult students in Math, Science, Social Studies, and/or Language Arts in a classroom or 1-on-1 setting.
ESL Tutoring
Help tutor adult English students in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language in a classroom or 1-on-1 setting.
Basic Reading Tutoring
Help tutor an adult student in basic reading, writing, and/or math in a 1-on-1 pairing.
Dyslexia Tutoring
Help tutor an adult student with dyslexic tendencies in basic reading and writing, using specialized curriculum, in a 1-on-1 pairing.
Office Aide
Provide clerical and administrative support in the Literacy Lubbock main office, which could include labeling books, organizing documents, etc.
Special Event Support
Help during a special event, such as manning a table, helping with children’s crafts, etc.
